@alicecann @SelenaKillick an unfortunate side-effect of twitter's decline is that conferences seem to have stopped suggesting hashtags - I'd been looking under #LibrariesRewired but not #LibrariesRewired23 (though I've just seen that CILIP suggested a hashtag in an email)

The only constant is change – data science / machine learning / AI improve dramatically each year
Researchers and GLAMers have different ideas of 'success' for AI tools, methods - proof of concept vs scale, data QA, operationalisation
So start by identifying the problem you want to solve, then think about how AI tools might help - and how you'd check and integrate the results

Hopefully @billt will post his talk notes soon, but in the meantime, I loved his provocation: we act like AI is the services layer, but what if it's the structure? We have an opportunity to rethink some of the core structures of the world around AI capabilities. What could a library be with these capabilities, what could it offer us? What might we want it to be? #LibrariesRewired #libraries #GLAM #AI

Looking forward to the day at @cilip 's #LibrariesRewired, kicking off with @billt.
His TL;DR is that AI is going to do to libraries what Google did to GPs 15 years ago... people turned up having googled their symptoms. Once you start opening up sources of information to people who haven't previously had access, especially when it's specialised, they can come to wrong conclusions
