As someone who's been fighting for #cannabis legalization since the 90s, it's so refreshing to finally see a viable presidential candidate openly admit to smoking (and inhaling!) in the past while advocating for legalization. #KamalaHarris is a real person who isn't afraid to acknowledge that cannabis brings people joy, and should be legally available to adults who wish to use it.

Just thinking about the FOUR remaining states in the US where no form of cannabis is legal...in 2023...so ridiculous.
1 of them (Kansas) is north of Oklahoma (medical state), Missouri (recreational) & Colorado (recreational)...how is this going to work for them exactly? My guess is...not well at all.

As #NZ takes steps to #LegalizeCannabis (medical already underway, recreational next year, fingers crossed), we need to make sure we protect people who have had to hide non-violent growing operations from prohibition enforcement. The least we can do to compensate them for the unjustified persecution they've lived under is to let them make a living from any legally regulated cannabis industries:
