  1. Anonymoose 🫎: “If you haven't already, you definitely should try Lebanese Munch in Harborne. We haven't ate in yet, but have had it delivered several times now and we love it."

Maybe it should be called Leba'nom' 😆 *Marty

  3. Facing a day of cooking, but trying to keep the menu casual for supper. Several items required, but not much is time sensitive.

Making some tabbouleh, a roasted veg tray-bake with chicken and halloumi, and thawing some baba ghanouj made earlier.

Haha! Hadn't thought how influenced by Lebanese/mideast food our supper was shaping up to be until I write it down! The local food landscape is reflected in our regular diet, and it's pretty great.

  4. Da ich wieder in Heidelberg eingesetzt bin, musste ich auf alle Fälle in das "Safari", einem libanesischem Restaurant in der Hauptstrasse

  5. Trying my hand at making Fatayer tonight with vegan meat substitute crumbles, onions, and spices.

  6. Made kafta and labneh for D&D today to complement the humus, salad and flatbread my friends brought. Gaming with other folks who like to cook is the best. #dnd #dungeonsanddragons #cooking #food #lebanesefood #ttrpg

  7. We're having a multicultural food day! Shanklish & mojitos.

  8. Ok. Cooking done.

This is Mjadra. (Lentils, rice, onions, and spices).

All vegan (not that I'm vegan as evidenced by other meals made today). But delish nonetheless.

  9. Homemade labneh made from homemade laban (yogurt).

  10. Overnight oats made with homemade laban is the best. 10/10, highly recommended.

  11. Baked "casserole" of eggplant, chick peas, onions, and tomatoes.

  12. One of three meals for the week.

Spinach "stew?" with ground beef and pine nuts served on top of rice. Rice is cooked with vermicelli.

  13. Very seldom do we go out to eat, mostly because my husband and I are pretty good cooks. Had to fast this morning for an appointment so we decided to try out the new Saj place, Furn Saj.

  14. The very last dish fell by the wayside while I attended to other things, but it was made and I'm enjoying it now: Shish barak, dumplings cooked in yogurt. Hisham's recipe is vegetarian, with a spinach stuffing.

  15. Back at it this morning, with some fatayer (spinach pasties). I couldn't resist havign two right out of the oven, but I'm saving the rest to take as a picnic when I go walking tomorrow.

  16. Next course: Horraq osba'o, a dish that's originally from Damascus and has been naturalised. The name means "burner of fingers" because it's impossible to wait for it to cool down before tucking in.

  17. Starting with tabbouleh... This one's on my website: cedarseed.com/2019/03/20/tabbo
but a reel by instagram.com/bakinghermann inspired me to replace the tomatoes with pomegranate. Drool.
