Oliver Skipp’s dismissal, Russell Martin’s possession obsession in League One, naively playing across the back, defeat and despair, so much wrong on-field with Leicester City. Players and coach have to take more responsibility. And apply more suitable tactics.

But the main issue is the ownership. Leicester’s paralysis and drift down the leagues is largely a King Power issue. The family and the firm have done so much for the Club and the city down the years. But they have to go. Time to sell. But to the right people. Much right about Leicester - stadium, training ground, fanbase, academy. They just need better leadership and recruitment. #LCFC

I wonder if #LCFC could have gotten over the line in 19/20 and finished fourth instead of fifth we'd be looking at a very different state of affairs right now.

Leicester aren't an Aston Villa, or a Newcastle. They're not Everton or West Ham. They've always been a side that flip flopped between the Premiership and the second tier; West Brom, Norwich, Watford. 

However for a good 7-8 years they'd made themselves at home in the Prem and in some seasons came within a breath of establishing themselves as a legit Champions League side. Unthinkable in the modern game. 'Small teams' can't do that. Leicester did.

Ultimately it was unsustainable in the long run. For many reasons, some more tragic than others. Ultimately though, I think it's probably a lesson for fans of smaller teams that no matter how close you get, no matter how you might think you've done it....the odds are always going to be stacked against you and your team. 

That's the Premier League.

“Our club has lost its way," states Foxes Trust. King Power has done so much for Leicester City over its 16-year ownership. So many memories. The 5,000-1 title fairy-tale. European adventures. FA Cup glories. The magnificent training ground. And the late, great, much-missed Vichai will never be forgotten – as a chairman, benefactor and as a man who cared about people and did so much for the club and the city.

But the Leicester fans surveyed on the club’s future, and the 75% who supported a change in ownership, are right. It is good news that King Power has put the club up for sale – provided the right new owners are found. Owners who listen more to fans, who appoint the right executives, who don’t let things drift and wake up in League One.
