There is something truly good and soulful in Stardew Valley. No game will ever be everyone cup of tea, but Stardew Valley can occasionally give me a very special, very true kind of comfort.
And, well, in these times I'm just happy I have such thing.

Finished #Wytchwood . Small game, conveniently splits into 3 afterwork evenings. Macabre elements required me a bit getting used to, but afterwards I found it rather comfy. Apart from the way how young women are drawn, really liked the visual style. Can get grindy, if you want to keep large reserves for complex spells.

Generally probably a hit or miss, but me personally – really enjoyed it and wished it be a bit longer.

Tried Crypt Custodian for couple evenings. Pretty. Atmospheric. With cats!!! And, yeah, I'l have to accept that despite several accessibility options it is not for me. There is a certain type of learning the enemy patterns that doesn't work for me, not if it happens in too many instances.

Finished Beacon Pines. Really enjoyed how the game approached choices with consequences, would love to see it in more games. To be fair, a larger game with larger decision tree would need more elaborate reminder system on what happened in which branch.

Also, I felt that this decision tree approach really helped to shape the horror-ish vibe of the story while keeping the main plot less tragic. For me personally, that is a major bonus.

Wavetale is not a big game, I expect to finish it in 2-3 evenings. Music is pleasant, I like the goofy animated avatars. But for me on a highly subjective level maybe the most important is the vibe, that no matter the apocalypse, people will continue to love their closest and care for them. And in these times? Yes, I need that vibe, all of it.

Maybe I should replay Bastion again. That one first short game that made Supergiant Games known. It is not too long to invest in replaying, sad, yet hopeful, and the music is so incredibly fitting. Beautiful thingie and somehow feels, idk, what I need right now.

BTW, Miracle of Sound wrote an incredibly nice song inspired by Bastion, it is called Calamity, but it can act as spoiler for game.

Also after reading several complaints on how last installment in Syberia series is too woke and too gay I finally gave in and brought "The World Before". For me the first Syberia was pivotal experience in my gaming life, so... we'll see. I'll try not to expect too much from it.

I did not expect to learn that #Amerzone is going to have a remake. I thought it was too little known, too niche. Fingers crossed the remake will be any good. Original was very on the short side, there is a room for expansion, if it is done honoring the source. Sokal's games used to be a big thing for me once.
