Communiqué :

13 ans de lutte ont eu raison du projet de golf et d’immobilier de Mme Lacoste et du promoteur immobilier Telcapi à Fontiers-Cabardès. L’association Montagne Noire Avenir qui, depuis 2021, prenait le relai du collectif citoyen « Les Crocodiles du Cabardès » dans la lutte contre l’installation d’un golf 18 trous avec club house, bar et restaurant ; un hôtel-restaurant 4 étoiles de 80 chambres et restaurant gastronomique de 170 couverts ; un complexe résidentiel de 68 villas, 52 maisons et 165 appartements et un héliport a reçu la confirmation des services de l’Etat : ce projet ne verra pas le jour (…).

En s’appuyant sur l’antinomie entre la consommation d’eau nécessaire à l’entretien d’un tel golf et à la sécheresse dont souffre notre région depuis des années, le préfet donne le clap de fin à un projet inadapté à notre époque : « Ce serait totalement absurde d’avoir un discours de préservation de la ressource en eau en montagne Noire et d’être en accord avec un projet de golf »
