#LaraMejač is an independent curator and producer based in #Ljubljana whose work explores digital culture and contemporary technologies. The overwhelming feelings of the average internet user are also captured in #BetiFrim ’s whimsical digital sanctuaries, which serve as a response to the relentless commercialization and performance pressure of contemporary online life. 𝗡𝗲𝗼 𝗡𝗼𝗿 constructs a nightmarish, post-digital dystopia filled with niche gaming references and marginal figures surviving systemic collapse. His work reflects on the internet as both an escape and a site of identity formation, while reviving the early web’s unpolished “ugly” aesthetics as a form of playful resistance to today’s minimalist commercial design.

It reminds us that “stuck” is no longer just a fetish but a default mode of existence online, where even the promise of getting unstuck arrives in the form of self-help clickbait.

Soft Narratives – #KUNSTSURFER exhibition opening with works by Chia Amisola, Maya Man & Ann Hirsch and Molly Soda

The opening is accompanied by a live surfing session with artist #MayaMan followed by a presentation of the #KUNSTSURFER project, a collective and browser-based art space from Zurich.

Soft Narratives features works by #ChiaAmisola, #MayaMan (in collaboration with #AnnHirsch) and #MollySoda - three artists who use the Internet to develop their sensitive and multimodal narratives. The exhibition also reads the selected works as examples of a new generation of net artists.

Artist Maya Man will join the event via videocall for a live surfing session through the new exhibition in dialog with Robert Sakrowski, curator of panke.gallery.

The event will be the perfect opportunity to experience net based art in the browser, its ‘natural habitat’, as well as in a casual environment together with other netart enthusiasts on site in Berlin.
