Does anyone have any tips for unraveling a cowl made of fingering weight cashmere/merino yarn? I made a very simple one, just to relax last year, and I want the yarn to knit something more complex. But when I've tried to frog even a row, it sticks and tangles. Thanks for any help!

Hey fellow #knittersofmastodon I'm looking for some advice. I'd class myself still as a beginner knitter, about to try creating my first real wearable (apart from scarves, hats and fingerless mittens). Got a pattern for a cardigan which looks suitable, buuut I'm a fan of hoods and pockets. Thinking patch pockets are doable? How easy would it be for me to create a hood? Is this a tricky thing, am I insane for wanting to try? #KnittingHelp

I have a Very Important (not really) knitting question/advice needed.
So I made this nymphalidea shawl, supposed to look like a butterfly wing. I love it when it's blocked and Im' not wearing it.
When I wear it, I want it to hit lower on my back. If I kept going, the pattern is such that it would be wider (longer horizontally) but never longer vertically.
If both non-lace edges were straight, I could pick up stitches and add. But one is curved.
Is there #any* way to add on to that long curved edge?
SIGH!

OK, #knitting mastadon! I have a question or just some reassurance: I am finishing up a shawl and it currently has 327sts on the needle. I missed one YO half way through my pattern row. I do NOT want to pick back. When I purl back, can I... mark, then pick up from below to create a YO? #knittersofmastadon #knittinghelp
