Visited Jay's Grave (aka Kitty Jay's Grave) today. This is a crossroads grave that dates back 100's of years.
Fantastic weather, so hiked a bit too. Saw Hound Tor, the grave, and bagged a couple of nearby geocaches also... Then off to the Kestor Inn, near Manaton, for an amazing lunch.
All in all, a super day and an enjoyable trip!

Watched some very interesting videos about Crossroad graves. The history, folklore and that many are still marked on modern OS maps, is amazing!
Discovered that one near Manaton in Dartmoor served as the inspiration for a Seth Lakeman album. The grave is also linked with the inspiration for Arthur Conan Doyle's "The Hound of the Baskervilles".
I intend to visit "Jay's Grave" (aka "Kitty Jay's Grave) in the next week or so.
Absolutely fascinating!
