Miss Lucy is feeling a lot better. When a cat is experiencing physical pain, you may notice them limiting their range of movement or just staying still. They usually try to hide the fact that they're experiencing pain.

Miss Lucy is recovering well and she's back to her energetic self.
I've lowered her cat trees so she can't leap from up high when something scares her. She has arthritis in her hips and her joints can't handle the impacts they handled in the past.
Her vet also suggested some good supplements to help her joints in addition to the arthritis treatment she gets every month.

Miss Lucy is feeling better. Her limp has diminished. She's had significant arthritis in her hip joints for the last two years. Medications have that mostly under control, but when she stresses the joints, the muscles there are easily inflamed.
I'm now working on lowering her cat trees so she no longer has the opportunity to leap from great heights when panicked. This is just an example of the many negative side effects that fireworks have on animals.

It was a rough weekend for Miss Lucy with the scary fireworks sounds. She has a bit of a limp after leaping off a high spot in reaction to them yesterday. I'm hopeful that it's just a mild sprain. I'll be getting her evaluated by her vet just to make sure.
Please don't avoid vet visits in order to keep from stressing your cat out. While I understand those feelings, cats need regular health care in order to thrive. I highly recommend mobile vets for cats.

It's a world with two Lucys! I'm not sure she'd get along with herself, but maybe. Adult cats generally view other cats as competition.
