I feel the need to reiterate that salting and hashing passwords has been a best practice in the cybersecurity industry since Morris and Thompson invented the concept of a salt in 1979. Yes, 47 years ago.
There is absolutely zero excuse—none, nada, zilch—for any internet-connected application ever to have been built with plaintext password storage.
The mind boggles.

Zgodnie z najnowszymi doniesieniami, usługa Cellular Starlink od SpaceX jest już dostępna dla użytkowników najnowszych zegarków Apple Watch w Kanadzie i Japonii. Pozwala to na łączenie się zegarka bezpośrednio z satelitami Starlink w miejscach bez absolutnie żadnego zasięgu sieci komórkowej.

Usługa jest kompatybilna z najnowszą linią zegarków Apple z 2025 roku, czyli modelami:

- Apple Watch Ultra 3
Co ważne, T-Mobile w USA, mimo że ma usługę Starlink, jeszcze nie potwierdził wsparcia dla tych konkretnych modeli zegarków.
To nie jest Alarmowe SOS od Apple
Co kluczowe, nie jest to ta sama funkcja, którą Apple wprowadziło w 2022 roku. Dotychczasowe Alarmowe SOS (dostępne w serii Ultra) łączy się z satelitami firmy Globalstar i służy wyłącznie do wzywania pomocy.
Nowa usługa to „carrier-provided satellite feature” (funkcja satelitarna dostarczana przez operatora), co potwierdza nawet zaktualizowany dokument wsparcia technicznego Apple. W tym przypadku operatorem satelitarnym jest SpaceX, a usługa jest znacznie potężniejsza.
Według japońskiego operatora KDDI, funkcja ta pozwala nie tylko na alarmowe wezwania, ale także na wysyłanie i odbieranie wiadomości tekstowych oraz udostępnianie swojej lokalizacji. W Kanadzie operator Rogers udostępnił usługę w formie darmowej bety dla wszystkich swoich klientów posiadających kompatybilne zegarki.
