Excitement. I got bits of a new #keyboard come! I didn't expect the case (#Tofu60Redux from #KBDFans, https://kbdfans.com/collections/60-layout-case/products/tofu60-redux-case?variant=41734373572747) to be that heavy, even without the weight bar. I got switches and caps at the same time, in the interest of combined postage.

Now to wait for the PCB.

Just assembled a new keyboard! It’s a #kbdfans tiger80 lite with Baby Kangaroo V2 switches. Alohakb Trailblazer cap colors remind me of those oldschool video editor keyboards but in a subtle way. I like it! #mechanicalkeyboard #retrocomputing

KBDFans' build guide helped, but I learned a few things the hard way:

• The PCB caters for multiple layouts, so some of its stabilizer holes run together. That causes clip-in stabs to be a bit loose. I made mine work with stab-stoppers, but I would've bought screw-ins had I known.
• For the same reason, there are two sets of holes for some switches. The pad covers up the contact holes so you can't easily see that switches using the set of holes on the right should go in upside-down.
• VIA support is OK, but some features (in my case, delays for macros) are Vial-only.
