BBQ'd steak for lunch. Thick sirloin strips.
Cooked perfectly, dark grill marks on the outside, blushing pink on the inside. Juicy, savoury.
But I couldn't enjoy it. The cuts of meat had too many connective tissues and cartilage sewn through the middle.
Like that thin silvery inedible ribbons woven through. Not fatty and flavourful, but almost synthetic.
Anyway, judge me all you want but I'm cooking my steaks well-done from now on. Hoping the long cook time will breakdown some of the tougher bits on the inside.
