  1. I dug out some code I wrote 10 years ago for generating fictional river networks, and cleaned up the bit rot, and did a bit more work on it. I cleaned up the fractal densification function and made a PR to #JTS with it.

  4. @marcbeldata Most of the time I found a case where I thought I would need to do this kind of operation, I could change the workflow, the UX or the data processing pipeline to just avoid the operation and have a better and faster way to do (almost) the same thing.

    Also, latest improvements in #JTS (hence #GEOS) may help a lot. Check Martin's blog to know more : lin-ear-th-inking.blogspot.com According to which version of #GEOS is packaged with your software version, you may not benefit from it yet.
