Released as the debut solo single by British singer #DustySpringfield under her long-time producer #JohnnyFranz, "I Only Want to Be with You" peaked at number 4 on the #UKSinglesChart in January 1964. "I Only Want to Be with You" has been recorded by a wide range of artists, and three remakes of the song were UK chart hits. The first two by the #BayCityRollers (1976).
