My number one annoyance with the Jitsi videoconferencing system is that it constantly uses 10 to 15% CPU as the baseline, even when waiting alone in a room with the microphone and webcam disabled. It just heats up your laptop and kills battery life for apparently no good reason.

Reported it here, but I'll need your help to keep that ticket open whenever their stupid automated stale bot tries to close the ticket again: https://github.com/jitsi/jitsi-meet/issues/17819

Our bet is no.

Its probably #baitAndSwitch - the paid version will likely use compromised #encryption keys or processes.
