Like many people, I am saddened by the death of much loved ABC Sydney local radio host, James Valentine. His talk back afternoon radio show oozed with his love for his listeners. He zeroed in on the delightful quirks of humanity and uplifted all who tuned in.
This article by Melbourne ABC local radio host, Jacinta Parsons, is one of many in an outpouring of mourning but also celebration of a life well lived.

My enduring memory of #JamesValentine will always be when he ate a cornflake and tomato sauce sandwich on air in the break between after-school programming, and struggled to not throw up. For all his professionalism—and he was the consummate professional—this was touchingly human and imperfect. His disgust was real.
