Frage | Sind Jabra Produkte eigentlich nur noch Mist?

Ich habe lange Zeit gerne mit Jabra Headsets im Büro gearbeitet. Zwar nicht günstig, aber sie haben funktioniert und waren haltbar. Nun habe ich aber eben zum dritten Mal in diesem Jahr Ersatz für mein Headset anfordern müssen, da sich die Kunstlederabdeckung auf den Ohrmuscheln ablöste und das dieses Mal nicht nur auf einer, sondern auf beiden Seiten. Und dabei nutze ich das Headset gar nicht so intensiv, vielleicht ein, bis zwei Mal pro Arbeitstag.

Wie sind da Eure Erfahrungen mit Jabra?

My new speaker phone (#Jabra Speak2 75) has a mute/unmute button. Connected via USB.

It mutes fine (on first press, always). And #Linux picks that up correctly.

I have to trigger the button *twice* for the unmute to show up on the audio source 🙄

pactl command for the key press is configured correctly (toggle). Calling the command works as well (on first try).

Now very confused.

All references only explain what to do when (un)mute doesn't work at all, not the double-press situation.

Ich muss mich mal über #Jabra aufregen: Ich besitze seit knapp drei Jahren die Elite 85t in-ears und bin mit denen auch ganz happy. Kürzlich hat sich die Ladeschale im "Ich lade gerade den Akku"-Modus aufgehängt. Nach dem reset lädt sie nun gar nicht mehr. 🙄
Ich schreibe Jabra an und die: "Pech, zu alt. Und das Produkt haben wir eingestellt. Sieh zu, ob du was bei Amazon findest."

Na, dann kaufe ich mir jetzt einen chinesischen Nachbau oder werfe meine 200 € Kopfhörer weg 😒

Great to see you guys promoting the initiative of buying from EU, but there is something frustrating: I would love to tag #philips when I post about switching Oral-B to Sonicare, but #philips is not on Mastodon. I would be happy to tag #adidas when I mention why I chose it over Nike, but it is not here either. I olny buy #nokia phones, I love my #secrid wallet, #jabra headsets. But they are not here.

#Windows 11 scheint jetzt Linux in Sachen Audio-Unterstützung nacheifern zu wollen. Mein Headset (#Jabra) wird zwar erkannt und offenbar auch verwendet (die Pegelanzeige zuckt), ich höre aber nichts. Und das #UI ist aus der Hölle.

Habt ihr Empfehlungen für gute #Headset |s für verschnatterte Umgebungen, in denen alles kreuz und quer quatscht? Die einfachen #Jabra Evolve 75 haben leider eine Sollbruchstille an der USB-Ladebuchse und das #ANC ist auch eher mittelmäßig.

Meine Lösung mit Gaffer-Tape auf den Mündern von diversen Teammitgliedern wurde als "grausam", "unmenschlich" und "mit der Corperate Identity nicht vereinbar" abgelehnt.

I am hesitant to buy the same brand again if my casual - far from daily - usage is too much for the #Jabra earbuds.

Do you have experience over build quality of noise cancellation earbuds, Jabra or any other quality? I use it on my indoor trainer (cycle) and while studying.

How long can I expect Jabra #bluetooth headset to function? One of two of my noise cancellation earbyds (Jabra Elite Active 75t) just gave up or went completely silent.

Bluetooth is okay, led blinks as it should but there is no sound no more.

I honestly had no idea #Jabra made anything other than earbuds. In fact, it wasn't until a few years ago I realized they are still in business. I remember having a wireless earpiece for phone calls back in the early 2000s before the iPhone was even released. After that, I never saw any of their products until 2020 when I was in the market for new wireless earbuds.
