Common #ivy #Hedera #helix (#Araliaceae) exhibits either a #creeping or #climbing #stem, named stem #dimorphism, as well as different leaf shapes (#heterophylly). The #species is #native to western, central, and southern #Europe, extending as far as Sweden and Turkey. Elsewhere it appears as #neophyte. Its evolutionary roots lie in Tertiary tropical forests.

"At the edge of the ocean we can start over again"A side project of #FountainsofWayne’s #AdamSchlesinger (gone way too soon), silky, breezy Ivy was a bit smooth #downtempo, a bit frothy pop. If #Morcheeba was the afterparty, Ivy was the champagne brunch the next morning.

Back when I took vacations to #GrapefruitLeague #SpringTraining in Florida regularly, I liked to pop in the noise-cancelling headphones and pour this into my ears as the plane left the frigid #Boston ground, to cleanse my heart of the detritus of the previous season (#RedSox fans - IYKYK) and turn to hope:“There's a place I dream about

A band I *didn't* miss - Ivy.
Most of their stuff was never released on vinyl—something I hope will change—but VMP recently released something I rarely buy: a "best of" LP featuring a ton of great tracks.
The thing is, every one of their albums is chockablock with great music. Given Schlesinger, Chase and Durand, how could it not be?
No more, though. Covid - you suck.
