Antonelli stormed from P19 to win his home race, becoming the first Italian driver in 60 years to take the top step at Monza. Before that, he and Russell went wheel-to-wheel in an intense yo-yo battle, swapping places before Antonelli made the decisive move with three laps to go.
It was a day of mixed emotions – Russell held on for P2, Verstappen fought through for P3, while Ferrari’s hopes crumbled with Leclerc’s early crash.
