honestly, I had not noticed #whatsapp battery impact until I started using the #iphone13mini

Previously on the #iPhoneAir, its impact was less noticeable

Having said that, this appears to be an #iOS issue because WhatsApp's battery life on my #android phone is ok.

I just found out that the Norwegian market has fixed the #iPhoneAir pricing… Pricing on Apple.no (including 25% VAT, rounded up), that are not “fixed” are as follows:

• 17 Pro: 16,000 NOK (€1,430)
• Air: 15,000 NOK (€1,340)
• 17: 12,000 NOK (€1,072)

But prices on the “premium partner” (that runs “#Apple stores” in Norway) has a different tiering:

• 17 Pro: 16,000 NOK (€1,430)
• 17: 12,000 NOK (€1,072)
• Air: 10,500 NOK (€938)

… and suddenly the Air makes sense!

Apple lanza iOS 26.5.1 para corregir un bug crítico de carga en el iPhone

La actualización resuelve un fallo que impedía la carga por cable en el iPhone Air y los modelos iPhone 17 cuando la batería estaba casi agotada. macOS 26.5.1 también llegó para corregir apagados inesperados en Macs con chip M5 (Fuente Macrumors).

Apple publicó iOS 26.5.1, una actualización puntual que corrige un único problema pero de los que duelen cuando más se los necesita. El bug en cuestión puede impedir la carga por cable en el iPhone Air y los modelos iPhone 17 cuando la batería está casi agotada, exactamente el momento en que el cargador se vuelve imprescindible. Apple aclaró que solo una pequeña cantidad de usuarios se vio afectada.

Esta actualización soluciona un problema que afecta a un pequeño número de usuarios y que puede impedir la carga por cable en los modelos iPhone Air y iPhone 17 cuando la batería está casi agotada.

El fenómeno fue confirmado por usuarios en los foros: un propietario de iPhone 16 Pro Max relató que al llegar al 1% de batería, conectó el cargador pero el teléfono no respondió, y solo logró restablecer la carga luego de forzar un reinicio.

En paralelo, macOS 26.5.1 también llegó hoy (1 de junio) para corregir un problema que afectaba exclusivamente a usuarios corporativos: los Macs con chip M5 podían apagarse de forma inesperada al usar ciertas extensiones de red de filtrado de contenido, una herramienta habitual en entornos empresariales.

Ambas actualizaciones son menores en tamaño pero relevantes para quien haya experimentado alguno de estos fallos. La mirada de la comunidad Apple, sin embargo, ya apunta a la semana que viene: el 8 de junio Apple presentará iOS 27 y macOS 27 en la WWDC26, con lanzamiento oficial al público general previsto para el otoño, probablemente en septiembre.
