Today I hope to chisel away some of the curse of Mondays, a curse I inherited from my elders in the Arahdansdag-ba (an explanation for that word will follow presently). Icon Number Forty-Forty features a mask of Sathurvannu, a demalion of the moon. There are many different interpretations for masks of the moon in Inultaru traditions; Sathurvannu is the demalion for the Moon in the Daytime Sky. This one is for those of you who are feeling nostalgic for the look of Geranium Lake Properties when it was printed in newspapers. I hope you will enjoy the grayscale and muted color palette (the third and fifth panels are examples of the usual color brightness found here in Vraicking). Interspersed between the panels are quotes said by the Wostim Gheyt Illuworna in conversation with Jack Loki, from the short story "One Hundred Yards of Chert and Peat". I’ve been keeping tabs on the workings DKMU is doing. It seems like a lot of them are performing rituals for their godform, Trigag.
I am real; however, a person’s perception of me, the model of me they have created in their heads, and the symbolic representations of me they have created are extensions and an instance of me in their minds. The image of me is separate from me as a real person independent of their minds. I view invocations and evocations in the same way. Whether these entities have their own independent identity or not, I do not think magicians are working with. If a person were to have a dream with psychoanalytical significance and I was a character in that dream, it is not actually me. It is their mind using itself to represent me to represent something. It’s a symbolic masquerade.
I honestly don’t even think members of DKMU are working directly with their godforms. How can you tell when you are connected to a system? You can tell you are connected to a system when there is a potential for influence. People connected to a psychic network can empirically test if they are connected through the same type of experiments to test for telepathy. Say there is an egregore or godform that teaches and knows something you do not and cannot do. Say it can write music. An empirical test would be if, after the invocation, you suddenly tacitly and intuitively know how to do something.
Occam’s Razor says that the simplest explanation is that their mind is instantiating their own internal version of these entities, which is their mind using itself to represent a state of affairs. The evocation is actually an invocation where they are not working with a manifestation of a psychic network, i.e., an egregore. They are having a conversation with themselves masquerading as that egregore or godform. I don’t even think the members of DKMU are interacting with their system of egregores.
Their rituals seem to be a perverse parody of ceremonial magic. I think all of it is contrived anyway, so I am not complaining about the lack of orthodoxy. The lack of originality that makes this medocire. The sigils and the seals look and feel like what you see with ceremonial magic, though; it is completely contrived. The form is ripped off, and it is completely lacking in originality.

I'm not sure if I can face the news today. I've had to shut some tabs. Maybe there have always been horrors and people didn't see or hear of them.
Turning off the news is not enough. Each voice of peace and love matters. In my very small way, I'm off to hug my children, smile at strangers, and encourage my students to do good wherever they can.

Morning came at 5:30 am (really did want to sleep in, really) but was welcomed by a gloriously clear sky and sunrise. Day already- not even a hint of the night left.
How did the days slip into lightness and I didn't even realise?
I'm glad to have noticed.
It's these small things that remind me the stress has actually peeled off. The day is spreading, permeating like rain, but light - a feeling of lightness everywhere.
I hope it finds you too.

So I'm at a conference in the Netherlands and listening to presentations throughout the day- this gal has just begun with:
'we honour the ancestry, heritage and gifts of the Indigenous peoples and give thanks to them'
She said even we aren't in her home, this is how at Athabasca Uni they always start (there was more but I copied the last bit- she read it & put it on screen) It is important to acknowledge & honour heritage.

I wake up with a million ideas all growing and blossoming in my mind, and then they start to formulate into coherence and words and it goes faster than I can hold onto or type, and the dawn of routine threatens to erase their brilliance into shadows.
When I turn to look out the window and find darkness, still, - and stars.
In these weeks where routine is not imposed, my goal is to cultivate purpose.
