So the Intellivision Sprint includes controller overlays for all the games, and even lets you view the overlay on the menu before starting the game. Which is pretty neat.

But what it doesn’t have is instructions for the games. There are a lot of games on here I never played as a child, and games of this era often aren’t very self-explanatory. For a moment I thought “Auto Racing” wasn’t even working, as it consistently “locked up” on the menu screen and wouldn’t respond to any input. I didn’t realise I needed to use the second controller to start a one-player game until I looked up the instruction manual online.

I’m assuming software updates are possible with this thing, so here’s hoping scans of the manuals end up in a future software revision.

(And despite my complaining, I really am having a blast with it.)
