  2. Bumrah's final figures are 4-0-15-4, on a pitch on which no other bowler has been able to do anything of note. New Zealand are 154-9 from 18 overs, needing 102 off the last two overs to win.

  3. Most bowlers have been emasculated by the pitch for today's final, but there is one stunning exception - Jasprit Bumrah has somehow conjured up figures of 3-0-13-3 on a batting paradise.

  4. Jadeja hits the last ball of the 49th over for four to win the Champions Trophy fpr India. New Zealand were 20 short of a really competitive total.

  5. Pandya goes to a return catch by Jamieson and it is 241-6. Jadeja comes in with 11 needed from 15 balls. Another quick wicket is needed to make things interesting by exposing the genuine tail enders.

  6. Just as India appeared in complete control Axar Patel has handed his wicket away, holing out down the ground off Bracewell for 29 (40). India 203-5, need 49 from 8.3 overs. Hardik Pandya comes to the crease.

  7. A fine catch by Rachin Racvindra gets Shreyas Iyer for 48 (62) and India are 183-4, needing 69 off 11.2 overs. India probably still favourites, but Win Predictor's 90.72% looks way off kilter.

  8. Chakravarthy gets Young, trapping him LBW for 15 to make it 57-1 after 7.5 overs. This one is not going upstairs.
    #cricket #ODI #ChampionsTrophy #INDvNZ

  9. Ravindra given out for an alleged strangle down the leg side, reviewed it instantly, and the replay showed not a hint of contact between the ball and anything. Instead of being a wicket it becomes a wide.

  10. Four to Young off the final ball of the seventh over bringing up the 50 for New Zealand.
    #cricket #ODI #ChampionsTrophy #INDvNZ

  11. New Zealand off to a splendid start, largely thanks to Rachin Ravindra. Currently 46-0 in the seventh over.

  12. Champions Trophy final underway. New Zealand have won the toss and are batting. Three overs in and the score is 10-0.

  15. Awake at 7am today - why?! On a Sunday.

Will watch the final of the #ChampionsTrophy #INDvNZ #cricket all day with half an eye on #6Nations #ENGvITA #rugby later.

Also will speak to my parents as we do every Sunday and have a food delivery coming.

  16. India win by 44 runs and will play Australia in their semi-final. New Zealand play South Africa in the other semi-final.
    #cricket #ODI #ChampionsTro[hy #INDvNZ

  17. Another catch to end the innings, giving Matt Henry a five-for. India 249-9 from their 50 overs, leaving New Zealand precisely 250 to chase. Henry 5-42 from his 10 overs.
    #cricket #ODI #ChampionsTrophy #INDvNZ

  18. Huge moment as Ravindra takes the catch to dismiss Pandya for 45 (45). India 246-8 with three balls to go.
    #cricket #ODI #ChampionsTrophy #INDvNZ

  19. Jamieson ends his work with the ball with 1-31 from eight overs, 15 of those runs coming from the eighth of his overs. India 244-7 with one over to go.
    #cricket #ODI #ChampionsTrophy #INDvNZ

  20. Pandya coming to the party - the last three balls have gone for 4,4 and 6, and only the first involved any luck. A single ends the sequence of boundaries but means that Pandya will likely be on strike for the start of the final over.
    #Cricket #ODI #ChampionsTrophy #INDvNZ

  21. Jamieson has the highest release point of any bowler at this tournament by some way, and his figures so far suggest that India are finding the unusual angle very tricky to cope with.
    #cricket #ODI #ChampionsTrophy #INDvNZ

  22. New Zealand have been superb in the field today. On any other day the catch that Williamson has just taken would be catch of the day without question, but Glenn Phillips took an even better one earlier on. India 223-7 after 46 overs.
    #cricket #ODI #ChampionsTrophy #INDvNZ

  23. Great start by New Zealand, The winner of this game will face Australia in the semis, while the losers will take on South Africa. On one hand an Australia v India semi means that those teams cannot contest the final, on the other a win for NZ keeps alive the possibility of neither being in the final.

  27. New Zealand v Rest of the World series, please. Only way to challenge this team. #INDvNZ

  28. Correct decision to give Pant out, based primarily on how interesting it makes the rest of this Test. Big risk he would have otherwise seen India home without too much further bother. Vastly more compelling with him out. Good umpiring. #INDvNZ

  29. Had an unexpected meeting with an Indian immigrant to NZ from #Mumbai today during a boys cricket game. We were chatting about the #IndvNZ test match being played in Mumbai and somehow drifted into religion. Turns out my friend is Jewish, I had no idea there were Indian Jews. He told me many of his Indian #Jewish friends had moved to #Israel although found it difficult to get ahead there being Indian and he much preferred to be in NZ. He then kinda laughed and said we're all basically atheists.

  30. In terms of World Cup qualification, that leaves New Zealand on 20 points with three ICC Women's Championship fixtures remaining (against Australia), while West Indies are on 14 with series against Bangladesh and India left to play.
