  1. Like, this really shows that, in what could potentially be an era of violence reentering protest against corporate-control of government and society, it is still very possible for a lone activist to carry out this sort of "#IncitementByAction" without being immediately identified.

    And while it's probably better to do protest actions publicly than to hide, there are a couple of benefits to doing so. As an unknown shooter, this guy was basically representative of no group or person, simply a generic individual for people to speculate on and debate. As someone with plausible deniability, even if he was caught, he could just stay silent during the trial... Which would benefit his cause by forcing the prosecution to discuss the motive, and allow the defense to respond by pointing out how many people have that motive and why, forcing the entire issue to be brought up in a court case for the act that was carried out.

    So...

    Yeah, #PlausibleDeniability might be very useful for an activist who may be arrested.
