#Bayer @splann splann.org/enqu%C3%AAte/essure/

  2. Likely a shot in the dark here but does one here know of a good Brisbane doc or endo that understands complex trans needs?

I am failing to find anyone that here that is knowledgeable enough to keep my hrt going and fix up the major fuck up the last doc did.

The hardware making this possible is shrinking rapidly. Ken Sheppard is developing "chip as system" technology with implantable devices just 350 microns size—the size of a dust mite. Delivered via a hypodermic needle, they sit on the brain to restore sight. They must be passivated to survive the corrosive saltwater inside the skull.

  4. I got another email from someone having delusions about being tracked by an implant under their skin, so I wrote up a solid resource to point people towards.

No really that was just the idea, I wanted to draw two characters interacting in a somewhat wholesome way LMAO

  7. Some thoughts about this implant:

    1. The input doesn't need to arrive from the sensor itself, but can be anything fed direct to the "output" side. It could be for example fully synthetic computer generated image.

    2. The problem with this current setup is that the field of view is very narrow. Normally the brain constructs the "larger" image by quickly performing eye micromovements and then stitching the image together to create a larger "virtual" field of vision. Implementing this would require precise sensor information about the position of the eyeball and then generating "correct" part of the simulated image.

    3. This implant will work eyelids closed, if you feed the stream bypassing the sensor side.

"OpenAI and its CEO, Sam Altman, are planning to invest in brain-implant startup Merge Labs, a potential competitor to Elon Musk’s Neuralink in developing computer–brain interface technology. Merge Labs is expected to be valued at about $850 million, according to TechCrunch. The talks are still in the early stages, and OpenAI has not yet committed to participating, so the terms could change.

Altman will launch the product alongside Alex Blania, who runs World, an eyeball-scanning digital ID project, also backed by the OpenAI CEO. Altman will be a co-founder in the company, however, he will not have a day-to-day role in it, according to The Financial Times."

"Patient Receives Brain Implant That Can Wirelessly Control Computers

Neuralink competitor Paradromics plans to conduct the first clinical trial of its Connexus brain implant later this year.

The future of brain-computer interface (BCI) technology is looking bright. Scientists have just reported the first in-human recording from a novel wireless BCI device that could possibly help people with stroke communicate independently again.

Researchers at the University of Michigan performed the feat on May 14, using the Connexus BCI device developed by the company Paradromics. The device was temporarily implanted into the brain of a person living with epilepsy. Paradromics is now planning to conduct clinical trials of the device later this year.

The U-M research team, led by neurosurgeon Matthew Willsey, is working on a project to better understand how epilepsy affects the brain’s signaling. They partnered with Paradromics, one of several companies vying to pioneer the next generation of BCI technology (a list that also includes Elon Musk’s Neuralink), to use its experimental Connexus device."
