Yeah pretty sure they don't want to go down this road--because if it became impossible to hold #ICEtapo thugs accountable WITHIN the law, citizens could easily feel compelled to start holding them accountable OUTSIDE it.
On second thought, maybe that's EXACTLY THE IDEA, since we already know they're itching for an excuse to invoke the Insurrection Act....

* Note: I reposted a post linking to this article on LinkedIn; didn't notice til I reposted THE ARTICLE ITSELF that it's a year old. The policy and payoffs haven't changed, though--just the names at the top of the org chart (as is typical in a Trump administration).
It remains just as abhorrent today, though--and all the more important to hold every #ICEtapo thug who hasn't resigned by now personally accountable in a (U.S. or international) court of law when this is over (in sha' Allah).

Personally, I'd kinda love to see the idiot go for it--and blue state governors respond by saying, "Fuck the #ICEtapo--land here anyway."
I kinda doubt even THAT crowd are gonna try to order the Air Force to shoot down hundreds of incoming airliners--and it could be a great way to kick off the #defederalization that may need to occur if Chancellor #AgolfShitler keeps moving to consolidate his #TurdReich at the expense of 'We, the People.'

From early in his FIRST term, when he referred to the press (1st Amendment) as "the enemy of the people," to all these contemporary incidents mentioned here as he musters his #ICEtapo, dismantles voting rights, shoots protesting American citizens dead in the streets, repeatedly flips the Courts the bird & threatens THEM with prosecution when they issue decisions he doesn't like, purges our own uniformed leadership (and promotion lists) of anyone who still places the Constitution above the Dear Leader, and moves to federalize our elections to impose permanent minority rule, #BenedictDonald has openly SHOWN himself to be the Constitution's #1 enemy--and thus ours.

I really DO wish that journalists--the REAL ones we have left--would stop parroting the #TurdReich propaganda that these are "immigration enforcement operations"; THEY'RE NOT. They're STATE TERROR OPERATIONS targeted at THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, by the President's personal SECRET POLICE FORCE.
He happens to have ASSEMBLED his secret police FROM the small slice of the federal law enforcement community that was already most of the way there--that was STRUCTURALLY racist & fascist long before he arrived on the scene...which just happened to be, by virtue of their missions (mostly; ATF is an exception) associated with things that have to do with the border & immigration.
People are starting to get this now, because Good and Pretti HADN'T CROSSED any border; WEREN'T immigrants. And because most of the people the #ICEtapo is detaining WERE IN THE COUNTRY LEGALLY, or had lived here, worked hard & kept their noses clean FOR DECADES. Some have even BEEN VETERANS, or law enforcement officers THEMSELVES.
But the media need to internalize this NOW, too, because those concentration camps being built around the country aren't just for immigrants EITHER, and by the time they start loading natural born citizens (and journalists!) onto the trains for them, it may well be too late to prevent THE 21ST CENTURY'S fascist holocaust.
