Danish State Railways #DSB operate a fleet of #Siemens #Vectron electrics, providing haulage i.a. for the #Copenhagen 🇩🇰 to #Hamburg 🇩🇪 #EuroCity trains. These services currently come with #DB #IC1 coaching stock, originally built in the 1970s and 1980s. Future DSB #Talgo sets are supposed to replace these cars one day.

We started another round of #Interrail on this beautiful, foggy morning. On our way to Italy.
This time, we decided to pay the extra for a 1st class pass. It's about €13 more per travel day, and seat reservation fees seem to be the same as for 2nd class.
As always, when trying to escape Denmark from Copenhagen by train, the first leg is on an old #IC1 from Deutsche Bahn. On this train, 1st class gets us comfier seats, more leg room and a small bag of treats.

Es ist der #IC1. Dank des flyover ("saut de mouton") von #Renens kurz hinter Lausanne kann er den IR90 überholen, ohne dass dieser zum stehen kommen muss. Der IC hat jetzt freie Fahrt bis Genf. 👌
Das Lausanne - #Genf Ballett wiederholt sich zu jeder Stunde. IC/IR/RE fahren kurz hintereinander in Lausanne ab und entfernen sich bis Ankunft in Genf immer mehr voneinander.

Okay, Vakuumklo darf bleiben, aber sonst soll das bitteschön wieder so edel aussehen, wie es mal war!
Bei der Gelegenheit würde ich gern im Großraum die Sitze wieder drehbar machen.
