WTF is Hunderds of Beavers 2025 by Mike Cheslik?
Wow, what an acid trip. The film ( if you can call it that ) Hundreds of Beavers by Mike Cheslik starring Ryland Tews and Olivia Graves is one of the coolest drug-less high moments of comedy cinema. It feels just coherent enough to be called a movie, and just crazy enough to be considered a 2 hour long low budget YouTube sketch.

Watched #HundredsOfBeavers based solely on the Reception section of the #Wikipedia entry.
It's a lot better than the plot and poster would indicate.
We started as a group of 7 skeptical people and ended with 6 thumbs up.

I saw #HundredsOfBeavers again on Wednesday, this time at The Neon theater in Dayton with friends who had not seen it yet. They were giving out Christmas mini-posters.
I figured the Buc-ees Beer Cheese popcorn goes well with the theme.
Not quite a fursuit, but close enough for #FursuitFriday !

Terrific evening with chum at The Cameo to see a special screening of quirky, Indie film Hundreds of Beavers, with a hilarious q&a session with the main actor.
I hadn't realised it was the same group who previously made the Lake Michigan Monster. There's a second screening with q&a tonight.

Need some brainless slapstick to distract you from the depressing reality? Well "Hundreds of Beavers" is quite epic. Best described as live-action looney tones in Canada. Bonus points for scenes filmed out in real winter.. That must have been some dedication from the indie crew!

Welp, we just watched "Hundreds of Beavers".
What a ride. And it has some of the most extraordinary shout outs to classic cinema. It also pulls of some of the most creative comic timing I've seen in a very long time.
It absolutely deserves all the accolades it has been getting.

I reviewed Hundreds of Beavers awhile back.TL/DR: The first maybe 1/3 was a bit of a slow burn. But it set the right tone of tenacious winter survival and put in place the building blocks that would be used to create delightful, increasing mayhem in the last 2/3.
