I see awakening as literally waken up from the illusion some are calling Maya: which has nothing to do with enlightenment.
Those under the spell of Maya, are merely existing, as if in a program, routinely doing what needs to be done.
To be an active part of the human collective and to actually grow as a being, awakening is a must.
