I met Fatima in the 1990's being a migrant worker herself, she volunteered for an organisation that supported newcomers and used her knowledge and skills to build bridges between communities. She came to Belgium from Tunisia as an young woman in the sixties to work in the textile industry. In the late 1990 the industry was declining and she was, like many others, forced into early reitrement in her mid fifties. 1/ -
