Grampian Arts in Victoria, Australia, started out with a grant for bushfire recovery, and is a regular on the creative arts calendar. Next March is Grampians Textures with many workshops already sold out. If you haven't been, it's quite the experience for folk wanting to learn a new craft with likeminded people. Great to put money back into communities who are going to do it tough with el nino too.

#MacKenzie Falls is unfortunately closed for the year, but we still did a small #hike up to Fish Falls today in the #Grampians. Tomorrow we will do The Pinnacle loop (9km) with the kids and enjoy some breakfast and lunch out at #HallsGap.

There now appears to be a fair bit of rainfall over the Victorian #bushfires areas.

Can anyone confirm?

Firefighters have succeeded in containing the bushfires in the Grampians region. They worked tirelessly for the last three weeks and today's rain would have been a welcome relief. The bushfire covered 76,000 hectares of national park and farmland.

The Grampians/Gariwerd National Park and surrounding region shows you the rugged beauty of Nature. It's an ancient landscape, and experiencing it in person takes your breath away. I'm fortunate to have been there on holidays and hikes several times over years. I'm no expert, but I think that experience can give you some insights about why it's such an important and sacred place to local Indigenous people, and why it's been home to the Djab Wurrung and Jardwardjali people for more than 20,000 years.

Funny😂 I would be posting constantly "Where the heck is this?" since so many have no location nor on alt text. Get's old. Shouldn't have to research this every time. Just came across photos from #HallsGap and had no idea what part of the world it's in.
