It's time for back-to-school haircuts. I gave Kid2 hers the other week, so it's just Kid3 and Kid4 tonight. Kid4 went first. The haircuts happen in the kitchen: they sit on a stool and I tell them to turn around when I need to cut different areas.
To avoid confusion, I give directions based on what in the room they will be facing, eg the stove, the window, the blackboard. Which led to this:
Me: OK, turn around to face the plants... No, the plants.... oh. Sorry. The other plants
Kid4 (rolling eyes): You have too many plants
Heh heh. Mission accomplished 🌱🌱🌱

Well, whether you're a guy or a girl, you could just give yourself a buzz cut whenever you think your hair is getting too long.
There are different sized blade guards that can adjust how close you want to cut it.
Just depends, more so if you're a girl than a guy, how much you care about having long hair for cultural and/or gender ID purposes. 🤷♂️
FWIW, I find that women w/really short hair can be extremely attractive.

Mom's hairdresser agreed to see me after close for an appointment and yay! Much better 🎉 Now that it's not so heavy it's back to being wavy. The important thing is I can still braid it ^_~

So I'm a big fan of Conan the barbarian and sword and sorcery stuff in general, but I just had a thought. How did Conan keep his hair cut like this all the time - the bangs? Were there places in the towns he'd go through where he'd get it trimmed? Or maybe his lady companions trimmed it, Sonja or Bêlit.
Then I had a thought, what if Conan did it himself? What if he took a mirror and a razor or a sharp knife and trimmed his own bangs. Epic. 🤣

The hairdresser we have used for years had a serious case of covid two years ago but refuses to get vaccinated because she's also a conspiracy nut. My wife went back to her anyway but I have not. My wife tells me I look terrible and I should go to a barber, but how do I know if they're vaccinated or not? I hate all these pandemic problems but I'm certain the pandemic isn't over. It's exhausting. -
