Apparently, in Texas you can walk into a public shooting range, "rent" a fully-automatic HK MP5 sub-machine gun with a fake ID, and just walk out with it. I know I'm a radical liberal, but I really feel that it should be at least a little more difficult to acquire a weapon that can shoot 900 rounds per minute. Just a thought.

Sandy Hook is what broke me. When I realized that even the deaths of 20 children (plus 6 teachers) was not enough to change our gun culture, that's when I realized that there is never going to be enough for some people to accept that guns are the problem. It is truly baffling to me that we, as a society, have not reached that moment when true change can happen. It is nothing short of a travesty and a complete embarrassment.
