#GSOC2026 is nearly over, and thanks to Hancong, you can now collbaborate with #Zotero users on the same #LIbreOffice document.
He also worked on various other improvements, like support for footnote citations for #CSL styles and support for tracking changes mode.
You can already try it in the latest dev version and soon in the new beta!

You have PDFs that are just scans and want to search in them?
Thanks to Zeyad who worked on this during #GSOC2026, JabRef now has an #OCR feature. The OCR is done by an external tool, but the results are ingested back in JabRef and are available through the full-text search.
You can try this out in the latest dev version and hopefully soon in the beta.

Heads Up: it appears that one of this year's RubyGSoC proposed Ideas is to add an "official" `bundle audit` command to Bundler that would override/conflict with bundler-audit's own `bundle audit` command. This has the potential of confusing bundler-audit users, potentially breaking CIs, and creating backlash (aka drama).
