Featured image: The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception was the first church built at Lourdes. Its construction was intended to serve as the chapel requested by the Blessed Virgin through her messages to Saint Bernadette Soubirous. Situated above a crypt, it overlooks the grotto of Massabielle cave and its rocky cliff upon which the basilica’s foundations are built. The construction of the church continued from 1862 to 1871 according to the plans of architect Hippolyte Durand. It would appear I’m sleeping in two hour shifts these days but last time I gave in and posted yesterdays #threegoodthings presuming myself awake for the day I slept for five hours straight! So let’s see how it goes…

Our favourite friend and artisan crafter of High quality Dungeons and Dragons accessories managed to accquire us a duck and garlic which for some reason have been empty gaps in the nearest supermarket for the last week. 2. The grotto is complete… but I’m not going to post a picture until the big reveal to the little lady.
3. All the gifts are wrapped and under the tree we don’t do a lot of gifts, but the trinkets we exchange will enhance the time we spend together 😊
