  1. @Koochulainn I was one of the team of 3 people in PFC who led the campaign which secured the #GRA2004. I was there, in meetings with govt and talking regularly to the Telegraph. My involvement is well-documented. You weren't there.

It seems that you have not understood my post before you replied. The Telegraph supported trans people in the 1990s. Now it opposes us.

I didn't claim that "Burnham hates trans ppl", and nor does the Telegraph. But he is supporting the anti-trans Code of Practice.

  6. Note: the 500-character limit squeezed out some caveats I would like to add.

Most importantly, I commented on the new #PoliceScotland procedures _as reported_ by #PinkNews. The report may have been written by someone who is not familiar with the #GRA2004.

So the new #PoliceScotland system may be designed to accommodate the GRA. But if it respects the GRA, then I would expect the police to proudly trumpet that fact.

Maybe someone can ask ScottishTrans to follow up.

  11. RE: flipboard.com/@pinknews/uk-new

#PoliceScotland's new policy as reported here is illegal, because it takes no account of a #GenderRecognitionCertificate (#GRC).

The atrocious #UKSC decision in #FWS allows a GRC to be disregarded for purposes of the #EA2010. But it doesn't override a GRC for other purposes.

    #GRA2004 §22 still applies: legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2004/

Disclosing info relating to a GRC is a criminal offence. The police focus on "BiologicalSex" risks routine illegal disclosure. I hope #trans are ready to sue
