Nutzer gelten. Öffentliche und private Projekte sind mit egal.

Unfortunately, there are still massive potholes along the way...
Commercial(!) users should be REQUIRED to disclose their use of #FOSS and, ideally, also be required to donate to it.
Unfortunately, current developments in the GPL do not take this into account.
Because no matter what #Stallman says, commons MUST ALSO BE FINANCED! And to do that, we first need more #transparency about how it is used.

  7. the idea of using measurements at users to determine freedom

'the people who developed X didn't consider this [that their users didn't ACTUALLY have freedom] to be a problem'

this is BIG TIME a problem in mobile space today, and not just because GPL3 didn't make it into android, and not just because GPL didn't make it into iOS, and not just because open source didn't make it into the full stack

one thing #gpl4 could actually address, is this disparity between userland in mobile space, and its ability to modify their own systems, and the code to run those platforms

another is the embedded systems internal *to* computer systems, like mobile, handheld robots. things like the intel management engine.

the *exact* same arguments apply to the boundaries of these "free software zones"
