    So many benefits from moving to a static site!

    After ditching #Wordpress, I used Hugo to compile a static website.

    Once is static-ified it, I moved the site to a static website in an Amazon S3 bucket, then stuck on a CloudFront (so I could serve HTTPs).

    Between cloudfront and S3, I expect about $1 a month in usage charges. The cloud front is within the free tier, so for my first years the fees will be more like 50-cents a month.

    Much cheaper than my previous self hosted AWS solution that was costing $20 a month in spam/malware bot traffic (and maybe about $1 in real traffic). PLUS, no vulnerabilities to patch or manage!
