Nice, the first few difficulty 3 missions have been cleared! There was also a surprisingly low amount of free missions among all the story missions. Only one or two, methinks.

We seem to be reaping the benefits of the Far East Branch for now, what with receiving a large welcome party, equipment that allows us to buff the squad or debuff the Aragami temporarily, and, of course, having access to Licca. Hands-down the best member of the maintenance crew. That is not only because Licca is the only member of the maintenance crew we know or, indeed, have seen in the games so far.

Well, we technically did reach Difficulty 3 today. The next mission we can do after reaching the Far East Branch (I told you all roads lead to it!) is the first one from Difficulty 3. Well, guess we'll find out how that goes.

Anyway, now that we're back at the Den, not a lot has changed in the three years that have passed since the end of the first game. Erina is now a God Eater, Hibari has a new hairstyle, and Sakaki's Japanese voice acting makes him seem significantly less eccentric than the English voice acting did in the first game. Oh, and Kota has supplanted Mayumi I as Captain of the 1st Unit. Yes, that Kota.

Anyway, we'll probably learn more about the dynamics at play in the Far East Branch now starting with the next few missions.

Well, I wouldn't really call it a fun time when Ciel obeys orders to defend a machine with her life (on her own, mind you)… but this even did deepen our bond, what with us disobeying orders in order to rescue Ciel. Good job, Mayumi.

In other news, not a whole lot of stuff happened today. Repeated some free missions again because I believed I hadn't crafted a weapon before. Key word being “believed”. But we also got some other materials, crafted a straight upgrade to the starter weapon, and made some progress in the story, too.

I'm satisfied with today's performance and story-to-free-missions ratio.

Alright, we cleared a bunch of story missions today. Mostly because I already took care of the free missions last time and I currently am not hurting for materials, but… shhh!

We even encountered our first proper psion in battle today, and even took it down! It was a variation of a Chi-You which did even more flying than Chi-You are usually prone to doing, but we managed to handle it just fine :ak12Competent:

Oh, and we made a friend today, and it looks like that was a pretty big deal to them. Looking forward to working with them in the future :blobcatOwoHappy:

Well… I may be falling back to bad habits from the first game :blobcatSmileSweat: Spent a lot of time on free missions today. I should just get back to the “at most two hours of free missions” rule again :blobcatGoogly:

But we did get some story missions done with, too! We found that apparently, three years after the defeat of the Second Nova (which was almost entirely impervious to God Arcs), there are now so-called “psions”—special Aragami that can control other Aragami via resonance. Since God Arcs are pretty much just glorified artificial Aragami that were put on a stick :tone_hyperbole:, psions can also render God Arcs temporarily nonfunctional. Which sounds like a bad thing, but apparently our newly-awakened Blood Power is too powerful and Mayumi cannot be affected by that. How convenient.

Alright, sweet, that's the first God Eater 2 stream done.

Just like last time, we're barely recruited, haven't even gone through significant amounts of training, and are already effectively a squad leader. If not in name, then definitely in function.

The new game comes with a few changes to gameplay—which is unsurprising, really—as well as new and old characters. So far, nothing too disruptive.

I just miss my equipment and Predator Styles from GE:R :blobcatPuffyTears:
