I'm not always positive about the Danish rail experience. And justifiably so.

I think that's in part because it's so obvious that it quite easily *can* be really good. Here's a short timelapse from a Siemens Desiro Classic near Thisted. A world of different with the wobbly smelly experience in yesterday's Alstom Lint. Yet both GoCollective DMUs.

*how is #DSB going to brand the #GoCollective trains now they're taking over? Will it be a sub-brand like for example "DSB Go!"?

The visual appearance of Arriva / GoCollective trains is absolutely disgraceful. It doesn't have to be perfect but they are on a level that on a model railroad would be called out as "unrealistic weathering".

The contrast with how tidy most Danish station buildings are kept makes it even more apparent.

Ooooh, #gocollective. We just found out our last* train of the day is cancelled. There's IS a train standing at the platform it's just.. not going.

Luckily there was a GoCollective staff member who turned out to be actual driver. Looking at his phone he also found out that the train is cancelled. And he has no idea why.

I guess we're all taking the next train. Go NoCollective!

*not anymore!

Edit: not taking a #DSB train as we have a GoCollective day pass.
