  1. In a recent mishap involving IndiGo, an Airbus A321 aircraft operating from Bangkok suffered a tail strike at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport on Saturday. english.mathrubhumi.com/news/i #IndiGo #A321 #tailstrike #MumbaiAirport #goaround

  2. Looks like there was another high profile aborted landing today.

AA2246 into Reagan National (per NYTimes... no other coverage, yet.)

  3. On my morning cycle (which was not the full distance, I curtailed the bit where I go down to the Thames Barrier Reef due to onset of grim rain) (another reason I’m so glad about the Fujifilm XP120 as my cycling camera in my coat pocket – waterproof!) I cycled along the dock front a bit more than usual and at one part I was waiting for a BA Embraer E190 to take off from LCY on runway 27 where I was positioned to get a shot just as the jets rotate, I saw it about to take off but another jet was coming in behind it about to land – this is sort of normal, except it seemed to me to be a bit too close in timing, the incoming jet was already quite near as it had just popped out of the clouds, and I remember saying to the jet on the ground “you’d better hurry up” (it didn’t hear me) and it basically didn’t take off, it aborted, the incoming jet did a very rapid go-around straight up in the air, then the jet on the ground crawled along the runway and turned around to try again

Not something I’ve seen before, although it’s just a matter of tolerance and timing, I’ve seen plenty of takeoffs where the incoming jet is visibly behind it, just not this close!

  7. Ein #GoAround der etwas anderen Art. Diesen Monat wird in #HAM eine Landebahn saniert und wir können vom Balkon aus Flugzeuge füttern...
