I can't lay *all* of the blame for GitKraken's AI Chatbot lying to me at the AI's door.
The Documentation has been wrong for at least 6 years.

Does anyone know a reliable, EASY TO USE, *local* GIT GUI (not CLI) that I can use for my Godot Projects?

No online Hub, no collaboration, just some "Save Points" I can revert to if needed.

Anybody got tipps for a good Gitkraken alternative (Git GUI) that works on Linux?

Love the easier user interface compared to plain CLI. Can also live with a subscription - but forced AI features is just too much.

No way to opt out of this bullshit and of course they are increasing prices because of their "investment" 🤮

Very upset with GIT (Kraken GUI)
My head fell off again. I thought I had done the right things to work on a previous Commit, but it seems not.
I don't understand why I can't press the "Work from this Commit" button, and it know I want a branch, not a DETACHED HEAD!! FAIL!! BAD DEV! NO COOKIE!

Also, Kraken did an update, and deleted my Desktop Shortcut. AGAIN! Why would it do this???

I don't know why Git/Kraken is not my friend, but it isn't

Canceled my subscription for #GitKraken and uninstalled it due poor software design decisions which made app not ready to #CloudFlare outage - during it GitKraken desktop GIT client unable to connect to a git service I use (not affected by ClownFlare issues).
I guess the problem was caused by the fact that the GitKraken is not a local-first application that was heavily dependent on API calls to a CloudFlare-affected backend.

New patches applied to my laptop bag today.

Still need to get an #Umbraco patch made. That will probably be next.

I opened a #codeberg repo in #gitkraken today and it gave me the choice to upgrade or close the repo because it detected it as a private or self hosted repository despite this being a somewhat well known GitHub alternative.

And so I'm looking for a new #git GUI for Linux. Going to try #relagit for a bit first

Git Kraken seems to work, now that I found out what they *meant* to say, and that their instructions are awful.
But I'm in no mood for GameDev

Unhappy.
I don't want to start making changes to my Project without some way of reverting.
I've never understood Git, and Kraken has not done what it said it would do.
I don't know if I can remove Git/Kraken safely.
I don't want to have to install 6 different Clients, to fail to Save my code.

Any advice would be welcome.

Well, I'm stoopid.
Trying to set up Git (with Kraken), and it doesn't connect to my Project.
I've got gitattributes and gitignore files in the above folder, and project folder. and a new empty (just README.md) folder below my project, with the Name I gave in Init.
No .git folder
Instruction on Kraken site don't match with my Client.
I'm scared to try deleting anything.
So tired of falling at the first hurdle :(
