Aplikacja Zdjęcia Google na Androida otrzymuje właśnie aktualizację, która pozwala na błyskawiczne przekształcanie obiektów z fotografii w spersonalizowane naklejki. Google od lat rozwija swoją galerię, dokładając do niej kolejne narzędzia oparte na sztucznej inteligencji, takie jak Magiczna Gumka czy zaawansowane wyostrzanie. Najnowsza funkcja skupia się jednak na komunikacji i zabawie formą, całkowicie eliminując konieczność korzystania z zewnętrznych aplikacji do precyzyjnego wycinania tła.
Sztuczna inteligencja w służbie komunikatorów
Mechanizm działania nowej opcji jest maksymalnie uproszczony. Po otwarciu wybranego zdjęcia w aplikacji (o ile algorytm rozpozna na nim wyraźny obiekt na pierwszym planie, np. osobę, zwierzę czy przedmiot), wokół głównego motywu pojawi się delikatna, połyskująca poświata. To sygnał ze strony AI, że obraz jest gotowy do konwersji.
Wystarczy dotknąć i przytrzymać podświetlony obiekt, a sztuczna inteligencja automatycznie oddzieli go od tła. Zamiast żmudnego, ręcznego kadrowania, użytkownik otrzymuje gotowy podgląd z opcją skopiowania lub bezpośredniego udostępnienia naklejki. Ponieważ pliki zapisywane są w formacie PNG z przezroczystym tłem, nie posiadają one nieestetycznych białych ramek. Można je od razu wkleić – na przykład za pomocą klawiatury Gboard – do ulubionych komunikatorów, takich jak WhatsApp, Telegram czy Wiadomości Google.
Ograniczenia i wymagania sprzętowe
Mimo że algorytmy zazwyczaj radzą sobie bardzo dobrze (nawet z trudnymi krawędziami, takimi jak sierść czy rozczochrane włosy), funkcja nie jest jeszcze w pełni doskonała. Obecnie aplikacja nie oferuje narzędzi do ręcznej korekty – jeśli AI wytnie obiekt niedokładnie, nie możemy użyć wirtualnego pędzla, aby naprawić błąd maszyny.
Ponadto, w przypadku zdjęć ze zbyt dużą liczbą obiektów lub przy bardzo płaskim oświetleniu, system może w ogóle nie wyodrębnić motywu (wtedy charakterystyczna poświata po prostu się nie pojawi).
Zgodnie z najnowszymi informacjami branżowymi, nowość jest obecnie szeroko wdrażana w aplikacji Zdjęcia Google od wersji 7.64. Aby z niej skorzystać, wymagane jest urządzenie z systemem Android wyposażone w co najmniej 4 GB pamięci RAM.

Google Photos para Android ya permite crear stickers personalizados
Google finalmente ha cerrado una de las brechas más frustrantes entre las versiones de iOS y Android de su aplicación de fotos. La función de creación de stickers personalizados mediante IA ya es una realidad para los usuarios de Android, permitiendo transformar personas, mascotas u objetos en calcomanías digitales con un solo toque y sin necesidad de apps de terceros.
Aunque los usuarios de iPhone disfrutaban de esta herramienta desde mediados del año pasado, la espera para el ecosistema de Google ha valido la pena. La implementación en Android llega con una integración más fluida con el ecosistema de Gboard y una precisión de recorte mejorada gracias a los últimos avances en segmentación de imágenes de Google.
¿Cómo funciona el creador de stickers?
El proceso es intuitivo y aprovecha la potencia del aprendizaje automático local:
- Efecto «Shimmer» (Resplandor): Al abrir una foto compatible en Google Photos, notarás un suave resplandor o destello alrededor del sujeto principal (una persona, un perro, una taza, etc.). Esto indica que la IA ha identificado un objeto que puede ser extraído.
- Presionar y Listo: Solo tienes que mantener presionado el sujeto. Verás una animación donde el objeto se «desprende» del fondo.
- Copiar o Compartir: Aparecerá un menú flotante con las opciones «Copiar sticker» o «Compartir». Al copiarlo, el sticker se guarda como un archivo PNG con fondo transparente, listo para pegarse en WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram o Google Messages.
Requisitos y Disponibilidad
Google está desplegando esta función de forma gradual a través de la versión 7.64 de Google Photos. Para poder utilizarla, tu dispositivo debe cumplir con lo siguiente:
- Memoria RAM: Se requiere un mínimo de 4 GB de RAM para procesar los modelos de segmentación de IA en el dispositivo.
- Versión de App: Debes contar con la última actualización de Google Photos desde la Play Store.
- Compatibilidad: Aunque está disponible en la mayoría de los dispositivos modernos, las fotos con un sujeto claramente definido en el primer plano obtendrán los mejores resultados.
Lo que viene: Historial de Stickers
A diferencia de la versión inicial de iOS, se espera que una futura actualización para Android incluya una sección de «Historial de Stickers» dentro de la pestaña de Colecciones. Esto permitirá a los usuarios reutilizar sus creaciones guardadas anteriormente sin tener que volver a buscar la foto original y repetir el proceso de recorte.
Este movimiento llega en un momento clave, justo cuando Google está retirando algunas herramientas de generación de imágenes de Pixel Studio para centralizar su potencia creativa en Google Photos y el nuevo ecosistema de Nano Banana.

I've been running HeliBoard on my phone for a couple of months now. I still have the clumsy-thumbs problem, but it's no worse than it is with GBoard, and unlike Fossify Keyboard, Heliboard does have auto-correct and auto-suggest, which mitigates the problem.
It supports a ton of languages, but is notably missing Japanese and Chinese. (It does support Korean, though, presumably since it's a syllabary.) And of course it's local-only, making it much better from a privacy standpoint!

Also: it can support gestures, but you currently have to side-load a closed-source library to do it. Not ideal, but it does make it more of a drop-in replacement.

🤔 Ich habe ja jetzt einige Leute im Umfeld, die zu #GrapheneOS und Co umgezogen sind. Höre aber oft, dass vielen die Nutzung der #FOSS-Tastaturen aus #FDroid schwer fällt. Die sind alle ne gute #Autokorrektur gewöhnt. Und wenn ich ehrlich bin, nervt mich dieser Schwachpunkt auch etwas.
Hat da jemand Ideen, wie man da noch nach bessern kann? Kennt jemand noch Alternativen, die ohne Internetanbinding auskommen?
Dachte schon daran vorzuschlagen, #Gboard zu installieren und die Netzwerk-Permission zu entziehen. Keine Ahnung, ob das dann aber noch ordentlich funktioniert. Mit #FlorisBoard, #HeliBoard, #SimpleKeyboard etc. ist es den meisten einfach zu friemelig, weil die Autokorrektur zu oft Schwachsinn vorschlägt.
