Interestingly it was only in the 19thC that furisode became gendered, and only in the 20thC that they (in part due to Western influence) were restricted to girls and women.

#Inktober 10 - "Pattern"
I had a bit more spare time today, so I tried playing with some gouache colour, aiming for an old-school comic vibe. I think I mixed it a little thick, but overall I'm quite pleased with the effect.
