The captain gave the order to abandon ship, and almost all of the crew escaped, but three men were trapped on the bow of the stricken destroyer."Cookie - You and your assistant, get your boat over here," yelled the captain.
"OK, all you men transfer to my boat. Not you two. You go back and collect those three before the ship capsizes."As the ship's cook and his apprentice rowed back, he reflected that it was fair that they be the ones to risk their lives for the rescue. After all, it was their experimental marshmallow recipe that was sinking the ship.
