#FULWOL was a terrific game, both teams going for it, two good managers, full house, televised, and yet it's all overshadowed by some poor/weak officiating and some muddle-headed VAR interventions. Some refs look bereft of confidence, lacking the courage of their convictions, just worrying about Stockley Park watching. For the good of the game, @[email protected] should be working more with managers to improve VAR.
O'Neil #Wolves was very measured in his comments but he had every reason to be frustrated. Again. "You can send me flowers. You can ring me to apologise. You can do what you want but we should be on 22 points instead of 15. The difference between 22 points and 15 for the 1000s of supporters who follow this team around the country is huge. The difference between 22 and 15 on my reputation when you’re trying to build at a big club is irreparable."
O'Neil's doing brilliantly at Wolves but he will be judged, ultimately, by league position. Will the owners remember these rubbish VAR calls? O'Neil's being let down by VAR. The game's being let down. Honest players like Kilman are being let down. Vinicius got only yellow for headbutting Kilman. O'Neil: "The ref said it was a soft headbutt. I said that’s 'absolutely crazy'. So my son at home watching or millions of children watching that, we're telling them 'we can headbutt people on a football pitch as long as it's deemed 'soft'."
VAR is here to stay. So let's try and get it right.

Again the officials have screwed Wolves. Vinicius should have seen a straight red for his head butt and now #VAR is recommending the ref look at a blatant dive for a penalty which is criminally given.
Absolute shambles. Howard Webb and the PGMOL are a disaster.

Oof, Wolves have been done over by #VAR and the ref there. Never a penalty. Clearly little or no contact (plus a heavy challenge from Fulham in the build-up which should have been a foul.)
