Je choisis la randonnée, que je combine avec les voyages.
Pour illustrer, le sommet du Mont Fuji au Japon, fait « comme il faut » : départ le soir vers 22h00, arrivée avant le lever du soleil vers 04h00 après une marche de nuit, où il ne fait jamais vraiment noir et où comme partout au Japon, on n’est jamais vraiment seul.
C'était en l’an 2000. « Tout Japonais doit gravir le Mont Fuji une fois dans sa vie. Seul le fou le ferait deux fois. »

For this #SilentSunday we take you to #Enoshima with a picture shot in 2023 at #sunset
The view of the Mount #Fuji was astonishing. We stopped and stayed there, in complete silence, admiring the sacred mountain in Japan while the sun was slowly setting. Pure bliss.

Switched to the 60mm Macro lens, which I don't shoot with often enough, to get a final #Photo as the last rays of the sun illuminated the summit of #Fujisan. A moment of #Japanese industrialised modernity captured in #Urban #Landscape, and perhaps a little tribute to Hokusai.
We sat, and watched
as Earth’s shadow flowed,
inexorably up the mountain.
Until only snow,
then only clouds

Heading back to #Tokyo from #Himeji, we stopped along the way to see #Fujisan. This from the balcony of an empty Korean restaurant. There's a concept in contemporary photography - the #PostmodernSublime, which holds that the industrialised world is so overwhelming in scale, as to provoke the same terror the natural world inspired in the German Romanticists. I feel like I came close to that with this #Industrial #Landscape.
