Even as an atheist Jew in London, I'm scared!
What my friends, my husband and I have decided to do, is to form a safety network.
1- We take turns escorting trans :heart_trans: and nb :heart_nb: friends and whatnot to the grocers, etc because they are often harassed even by workers and/or management.
2- We've set up a response team if anyone's attacked: We were trained in basic first-aid until help arrives (thanks to a parent of one of our friends who is in the medical field)
3- We call and text to check in with people of colour and LGBTQIA plus people in the North to make sure they are ok.
I'm fucking scared! Scared for my husband, my friends, my colleagues and comrades
