Sailor x BlueBlack Cherry Coke

This ink is from my green #FPSanta! I'd say it lives up to the name. Red with a black undertone, green sheen if *very* inky. I've used it for a while in this pen (Sailor 21K F) and the flow is excellent.

My red #FPSanta revealed themselves early on, and we had a nice conversation about what exactly one gets someone who already has everything! Sorry to make it so difficult!

Got these:

1. Super interesting Waterman Phileas from the early 2000s, with a very nice nib (I already scribbled a bit with it)
2. Kaweco Special
3. Pen roll!

They mentioned in the note that they were passing on these pens picked up along the way from pen friends. I’m 100% in favor of this!

For the last few years of #FPSanta I’ve asked the green tier Santas for “no pens”, and it’s always great to see what they come up with. My Santa heard “country exclusive inks” and went hard:

Testing Pelikan M150 with vintage F italic nib from M&K Pelikan 120. I won this nib unit in an auction but I don’t have a working 120 that takes these nib units (I’ve unfortunately got one with a broken piston rod), so I transplanted the nib into a feed and collar from a modern first-party Pelikan nib unit.

This pen and nib combo is about to go to one of my #FPSanta giftees (:

Tom's Studio One-Dip-Nib

A Japanese exclusive collab ink that I received in Secret #FPSanta. Seems quite similar to some of the sheen inks in the Yurameku series and would probably fit right in in that series.

Third pic is progressively wider lines made with this nib from 0.5 to 8 mm.

Kyo no oto No. 7 Hisoku 秘色

Mise porcelain, Hisoku in Japanese, is a Tang-dynasty style of celadon ceramics. This ink seems to be going for the bluer-darker side of this kind of glaze. This is a modern example of the color that this ink is going for: https://24h.pchome.com.tw/prod/QFAEJ9-A900A78UU

Nice ink in a broader nib, dry-ish and I imagine would probably be a bit gritty on a finer nib. Very dramatic shading.

Waterman Inspired Blue
Pilot Custom FK-300R M

Despite really liking Waterman inks, I have never tried this one until now—sky blue isn't really my thing generally. But this ink has some nice depth to it. I think I prefer it over Pilot Iro Kon-peki for this color "area". Thanks to @Halfcelestialelf for sending me the sample.

Hi everyone, a bit of a special pen today. I bought this for my #FPSanta rematch giftee who had a Pilot Custom Heritage 912 on his wishlist. This pen is the Pilot Custom FK-300R from the 1980s. I'm testing the pen before sending it, and of course took the opportunity to take some pictures. It's very similar to the 912 in concept, same #10 nib and same flat tops, but this is a snap cap rather than a screw cap.

M nib is bouncy and writes beautifully, samples later.

@alexa488 I’m still going through the 2023 Hobos that I got on clearance last year, I still have two left. On deck I have a couple Sanzen TR S, and a Yu-Sari from green #FPSanta this year, as well as a 2025 Hobonichi HON (also Sanzen TR S).

Got my red tier #FPSanta gift finally after some back and forth trying to solve issues with export rules (:

- Two very nice inks: Kyo no oto #7 Hisoku and Bungubox Piano Mahogany

Thanks to my green tier #FPSanta for these goodies, wrapped impeccably! All that detail in the bows, the ties—one can't help but be impressed. They sent a Kakimori nib, Yu-Sari notebook and sheets, and cute Japanese stationery. Also two ink samples not pictured. This was their first exchange and they did awesome!
